You know I want to think how smart Mankind is, and then I remember the
rosetta stone and without it how our smartest people were not able to
translate ancient texts and it really makes me lose hope for our future.
Without that guide - we couldn't decipher something just a few thousand
years old from our own forefathers - we are really stupid sometimes.

Proof of the problem, it's hards to have global trade and global
understanding without global language or global concepts.

No, computer language used to be my field of expertise - but the tower of
babel there has gotten dispersed too.
it is very

All of us need to learn about each other if we want for world peace. For
instance did you know:

There are many potential environmental influences that help to shape
personality. Child rearing practices are especially critical. In North
America, children are usually raised in ways that encourage them to
become self-reliant and independent. Children are often allowed to act
somewhat like equals to their parents. For instance, they are included
in making decisions about what type of food and entertainment the family
will have on a night out. Children are given allowances and small jobs
around the house to teach them how to be responsible for themselves. In
contrast, children in China are usually encouraged to think and act as a
member of their family and to suppress there own wishes when they are in
conflict with the needs of the family. Independence and self-reliance
are viewed as an indication of family failure and are discouraged. It is
not surprising that traditionally Chinese children have not been allowed
to act as equals to their parents.
Very different socialization - culture clash is going to break the USA
and disperse the tower of babel - partisan politics are so jammed our
political process can't make anymore progress - I envy your mono culture.
When the 1.1 billion borg chinese come for us they will probably not
notice you.
