Based on my real world experience with many government officials and real
people.

I feel the sherriff in the old town being in that position of power for
over 20 years now has allowed him to form connections with corrupt
individuals, to place people into positions of power that aid in his
corruption, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation officer that covers the
area that sheriff is in agrees, but said he simply does not have enough
agents to find and fix all the corruption and even when presented the hard
evidence he needed from citizens - he said that everyone breaks the law,
even city leaders, and if we put them in jail, the town would descend into
anarchy. What is the use of a law that is not enforced for all? It's only
use can be to pick and choose who gets charged with that law - if the law
is not universal for us all - what then?

I just wanted the city leaders to be honest, and follow the laws, and if
the laws can't be enforced as the GBI man said, then why even have the
laws? It seems if I broke those laws, I would be punished, because I was
not a city official and removing me from society would not impair city
gubbment, but because they are in positions of power, removing them would
create anarchy, so run for city offices, that gives you a get out of jail
free card if you break the law in my old city.

I am sorry Trucker, you cannot possibly KNOW all the corruption and closed
room deals going on with people, the longer they are in power, the stronger
these connections can become. Creating anarchy in the city would break
these old connections of power.
