Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. Very much appreciated.
One of the reasons for my frustration was, I think HG's book is the
all-time best selling book on economics. And that somehow implied a
simple idea to me. But this is not very simple IMHO, it might get real
complicated. My guess is some people who read his book and advocated
his idea in 19th century didn't understand all the ramifications of
this single tax. Maybe it was just "let the landowners pay all the
tax" to them. But I think it is more involved than that.
