Yes, that's an example from economics.
A biological example is some species of bat, where there's a high variance
in the success of hunting. So if a bat's hunt doesn't go well, she'll be
fed by her conspecifics, and she'll return the favor. IIRC as in all such
systems of reciprocal altruism, there are cheaters, abilities to detect
cheaters, and so on.
(No, I didn't say "she" to be PC. IIRC when I read about this, they only
referred to females. I guess the guys are just hanging out at the bar
drinking or something.)
