...And you really think if Bush bites it and Cheney is sworn
in, that policy will change? If so, methinks you're a sandwich
or two shy of a picnic in regards to realpolitik, my friend.

I would rather have *NO* answer, or a *CHANGED* answer, than
a *MORONIC* or *DEADLY* answer- but then, that's just me...

Most conservatives I've ever met were too inwardly fearful to make
a decision to change anything; much less themselves... If society
were left to Conservatives, we'd still be living in grass huts and
  commuting by dug-out canoes.

The philosophy of Conservativism is to avoid and attack change
because it upsets the "status quo"- Ie, interest-groups that
*LIKE* the way things are because the barriers to entry for
economic success to less powerful individuals are already set
up; All-the-while pretending to embrace membership
to all, when in fact the GOP is a *very* caste-ridden clique.

The philosophy of Liberalism is much more to my liking; to
embrace change where change is needed...

The saddest fact of all is the largest political base of the
Conservative party is what needs the most help- The Southern
GOP belt, "NASCAR Republicans", home-schooled Christians,
and high school droputs. Yikes, what an evil *** Kerry is
to suggest providing health care to these and other such
  demographic groups.

Hey- that's just you talking my friend... You can follow Bush,
Kerry, Nader, Kent, Stalin, and Jerry Lewis all the way to Hell
and back- The only thing you need to question (and I don't really
see many Conservatives doing this) is *WHY*- Bush hasn't done
much other than lie cheat and kill; So Liberals are looking for
 a change- wow, how childish.
