And that's a good point. As Earl Nightingale said, "Money may not
buy happiness, but it provides more food, clothing, and nice places
to live than poverty ever will."

However, there is a way to structure your life so that money has a
very subordinate role. You might do a web search on consumerism if
you'd like to read more about that point of view.
