I was just reading the book Tour of Duty about John Kerry. Right
after the Dewey Canyon III protests in Washington DC (where the vets
threw their medals at congress), Chuck Colson on Richard Nixon's staff
(later of convicted Watergate felon fame) wrote a secret memo
regarding Kerry that said "Destroy the young demagogue before he
becomes another Ralph Nader."
