Ron Allen adds:
Neal Boortz, the radio libertarian, says that "the
masses are asses". But, apparently people who are
like Neal Boortz, who don't like either democracy
or socialism, believe they are somehow better than
the masses, better than the people.

In other words, Neal Boortz is an élitist, who
likes to believe that he's a libertarian. It is
possible for an élitist to believe that élitism is
quite compatible with libertarianism; but I do not
buy this nonsense, I do not believe this baloney.
As I see right-wing libertarians, they are nothing
more than traditional élitist liberals of the more
laissez-faire genre.

There is an élitist vision both of liberty and of
democracy.
