The land is not "built" and is separate from the house. A land rent
redistribution system would leave typical homeowners with a net
zero or net positive cash flow from/to land rent and the rights of
tenancy would be the same. I am not an actual Single Tax Georgist.
I see the matter as a citizen's dividend redistribution of land rent
divorcing the finance of government (with the exception of tenant
rights enforcement for land) from the issue entirely. It does not
matter why you want to occupy some particular place and exclude
others from that location. You are in competition with other
market participants and the highest per month rental bid should win
the right to occupy the location. Those who live in undesirable
locations will see a positive cash flow and those who insist
on waterfront property next to a financial center will be paying
a large rental fee. To each his own. Seems pretty Libertartian to
me.....
