JCT: When the Nielsens showed up in court last week to pick
a day, I was wondering how the Crown were going to introduce
the fact that they had filed a motion for prohibition to be
heard in a Superior Court on Jan 14 2004.

With Justice of the Peace Janice Jukes presiding, the Crown
rose and mentioned that it would have to be put of because
of a Superior Court application and they picked the date of
Jan 27 for them to return.

Doug tried to say that it was unlikely that there would be a
resolution only 2 weeks after the application, especially
since we'll appeal any loss within 30 days anyway, but the
JP said it would do.

I'd expect that it's going to be one extra waste of
everyone's time to return so fast. I suggested he try to get
something a year away but I doubt they'd have allowed that.

So Jan 28, Nielsen trial date
Jan 14 Nielsen Superior Court Prohibition application
Jan 11 Johnson Elliot Lake quash motion
Jan 10 Maybe Noreen in BC with a buddy
Dec 17 Drouin & Martin in Cochrane
Dec 10, this Monday, Mike South Application for release
pending appeal at Ontario Court of Appeal in Toronto.
