Pfeh. Grant finished the war at Vicksburg. Nobody told the
Confederate rank and file ( although Lee, Davis and others
knew...)

Sherman was the founder* of not only total internecine war without
constraint on rapine nor pillage, but the founder of the first
well documented genocide (on the Indians).

*In the U.S.

If he'd done that today, he'd be a war criminal.

He was also nuttier than a fruitcake.
