Inventors are more than welcome to start their own enterprises, however
they get no more privilege to screw the consumer than anybody else.

They are better off using their brains to figure out how to deliver
better value to the consumer, otherwise the consumer will go to
whomever has rescued this brainchild from neglect.

Sure, if by "many" you mean all but a number so miniscule as to be
negligible.

Luckily Jack Kilby, Doug Engelbart, Gary Kildall, Mers Kutt, Ed
Roberts, and all the others didn't stop them from bringing their
brainchildren to consumers.

Also, my first computer was an Apple II *CLONE*

Luckily other companies were able to build on the brainchildren of Jobs
and Wozniac.

Why do you hate the free market so much Robert?
