In any given economy you could have a large % of unemployment, yet the
employed could produce enough wealth to have a large GDP/capita.

The label "everyone's" is not correct. Some are, most are not.

Wall Street IS the financial market of the world. No other financial
market has its size and liquidity. It has reached such critical mass
that other regional financial markets have a hard time attracting
investment. I see no deterrent whatsoever; quite the contrary.
