Well it's a bit crazy to compare the US deficits to other countries in
nominal terms because our economy is so much larger than most
countries'. I think I read somewhere that Japan has a far larger
deficit and debt than the US in relative (GDP) terms. This article
discusses the situation in the Euro zone, for debts and deficits. I'm
sure you can find similar articles about trade deficits.
