Re: Does Outsourcing Piss you off?

I agree that the Chinese guy is not likely to buy a US made SUV. But that
was not the question.
The fact is that they are buying US products, from Wisconsin gensing to
Kansas wheat to Boeing airplanes to Caterpiller tractors to Madonna CD's
and watching Hollywood movies.

Q1: Then why the deficit with China is bigger and bigger?
Q2: How long do you think is going to take until all the US manufacturers
still left here are going to move their production offshore?

Keep in mind that any for-proffit business is going to look to maximize
their ROI. Not just they are going to find there cheaper workforce, but
since most of manufacturers move their facilities offshore, why do you
think the tool manufacturers want to stay away from where their customers
are? The fact that STILL there are SOME machine manufacturers in US is
rather a mater of inertia. If the current trend continue, and more and more
of their customers move offshore, the machine manufacturers are going to
move there too.

Nonsense. US exports ARE increasing to 3rd world countries including China
and India. And to many other places that pay lower wages than the US.
And have been for centuries.

It is a conservative standard to apply in XXI century the economics from
Adam and Eve times? Well, maybe this is the reason conservatives want to
turn us back to a feudalistic like society :-)

And during the last 30 years (the age of Globalization) 3rd world incomes
have increasing rapidly while US incomes have increased also, but more
slowly.

We just passed the top. Now their are declining. Slowly for now (because we
just passed) but if we do not take actions it is going to accelerate as the
ramp angle bigger and bigger.

Can you say "WIN-WIN"?......

Oh yeah, I can. Unfortunate multinational corporations and our
administration CAN NOT, or even if they could they do not want.

Yes, globalization can actually be a very very good thing. I explained that
countless times. The only issue is that we need to reform our society to
cope and take advantage of globalization. Just look at my last posting
about this issue:

YES. Globalization can be a win-win situation if we tamper the greed of
idiots running multinational corporations, and reform our society.

But the question was not about just the richest people on earth (i.e.
Americans), but the overall human race.

Who happen to actually be the consumers China and India need to grow their
economy. Kill your consumers and your business fail. Don't you believe so ?
