Yes of course. However lately with floating currencies and
political aspects confusing the issues its no longer pure
physics in the traditional sense, but it is pure physics in
the ultimate sense, Its just that these are addressed in
economics forums, and are difficult because no single person
is able to see all the under water bogusness going on.
Bogusness has become the largest factor these days, that puts
a kink in the pure physics view.
Beyond that, yes it is physics. The US is graduating 4% of
its students in math/ science... india and Russia 30%... now
they are eating our lunch. Thats pretty straight
forward...and no..the US service economy, washing each others
poodles, will not provide the base of actual *goods production
necessary to actually fund the nation...thats all on a huge
smoky bubble now.
