In a libertarian world, it's only "Government intervention" *IF* the
people delegate to Government that job.

What makes you think that government wont damn well do what it pleases?
Do you really think government answers to anybody?

Well, libertarians aren't anarchists.

Not all, some are. I am.

Now you are confusing things, man. Libertarians want a small
Government. Anarchists want *NO* Government. You can't be both at the
same time.

Libertarianis operate under the saying "that government governs best,
which governs least". Thoreau expanded that to say "...or not at all".
Anarchism (anarchocapitalism, that is) is merely libertarianism taken to
it's logical conclusion.

In libertarian land, Government
has as it mandate to protect individual rights and whatever other
functions people delegate to it consistent with the main mandate. In
libertarian land, Government doesn't do as it pleases. That's why
individuals are armed, after all.

Problem is, the western world have over the last few centuries,
especially since WWI, with the spread of democracy, been shown to be the
exact opposite of a libertarian minarchist state. The state has grown
beyond all believable bounds, and individual rights has become a tragic
farce.

Democracy sucks. I don't like it. Republicanism was an improvement on
Democracy but still isn't perfect. Eveventually, we'll evolve top a
better system. Unfortunately, social change takes time. I'm afraid I
wouldn't know what that better system is yet, however.

Agree, with the addition, that we're enduring severe injustices at the
hands of democratic rules, who think that because they have the vote of
a couple of million voters, they're justified in continuing tax slavery
and the opression that follows. It's sick.
