And the even more interesting thing is that our great FDA thinks that
only UVB is dangerous. How so?

UVB have a shorther wavelength than UVA, that means a photon of UVB pack
more energy than a photon of UVA. More energy, means more chances to move an
atom into a DNA chain therefore generating mutations susceptible to cancer.

I was not aware about the penetration of UVB being shorted than UVA thou.
Maybe the cancer generated by UVB is on the surface of the skin,
or at least that way should be from that penetration picture.

Well, the SPF system is developed arund UVB. As such, even if you
buy sunscreen with SPF 100, you are still going to get skin cancer
due to exposure to UVA.

Maybe :-) But highly energetically UVB have the more potential to generate
cancer thou.

Isn't the unfree market a beautiful thing?

FDA is not acting on the free market, or let hope it is not :-)
