I agree. What I want to know is how much *can* be taxed without affecting
real output.
The water is there because there has been
discovery and development. If you tax away too
much of the income, or if you expropriate it away,
you eliminate the incentive to discover and develop.
True again. I'm curious as to what level is 'too much;' below that would be
the rent that can be taxed without affecting results.
