I saw on web that MCM sells a recarboning kit. I assume it is a
paint
but anyway, I can not find it. The remote has some carbon buttons
1/16" in diameter which I would like to repaint it possible. Gluing
tin foil might be hard.

Ideas, links?

Thanks,

Cheaper just to get the model and buy a new remote, or just get a
universal remote.

Now this is a change of advice from you when I suggested a new 100W
resistor....

Depending upon the age of the item a new remote might be unobtainable
or if it is it will be extremely expensive.

All that time, and the cost of hunting down the crap, and then the
cost of buying it...

OP doesn't waste much time at all by asking here and getting the right
advice. Buying the stuff and repairing the existing unit will be far
cheaper than buying new or even a universal unit.

Sheesh... my personal time is worth more than that.

You must be flat out being so busy and all that...

doesn't cost the OP anything to get advice and time is probably not an
issue as far as he is concerned...
