Re: advice on selecting new PCB design package

I hope I'm not being too parochial, but it seems that almost all of the
mid-range and low-end packages are done in a country outside of the USA.

Eagle is German
Pulsonix & EZPC are UK
Rimu is NZ
Protel is OZ

I'm just curious why?
