a dumb question

hi, all

please don't laugh, i have a rather dumb question:
since i have quite a few obsolete electronic pieces, i'm wondering what
i could build from the components out of them...like a couple old cell
phones, 2 broken stereo systems, a VCR, as well as 56k computer modem
