At work, I got stuck with the job of finishing the installation of a
moving sign by installing the software. The sign was mounted in the
window by the maintenance guys, and connected to a nearby PC's RS-232
port. When I installed the software, the SOBs had a splash screen that
counted down from 30 days, saying that it was a trial version and that
we would have to send the company 50 or 60 dollars to get the software
unlocked after the trial period. I couldn't believe it. After all the
money we paid for the sign, the the no-good, slimy, scum-sucking crooks
ripped us off with another cost for the software!
