Had a look to the Silicon Chip Online site and couldn't find any
working links to retailers. Maybe I'm just going mad but surely, the
circuit was designed THIS YEAR so I just can't understand why this part
is so tough to get hold of. If it'd been designed in 1982 I could
understand it...Thanks for the help anyway. Anyone else got a UK based
clue for me?

Just checked them out, no luck. Plenty of fixed axials on a couple of
them, but no adjustables. I've mailed the designer of the board now to
see where he gets his parts from!

What configuration is required for the inductor. I *assume* for the moment
that you want slug-tuned. What size limitations, and wire spacing for
mounting to the board. I may be able to wind you a couple, but I'm not sure
the form would be the same for each of them - I need to find my stash of
small coil forms.
