I have tried a wide range of RC combinations, and always found cases where
either the glitches still cause problems, or the response is too slow - user
needs to be able to scroll through a fairly wide range of values in some
parts of the application. We have already done all we can to minimise that,
but for some places its impossible.
As I said before, I am scrapping this part, so the discussion is of academic
interest only. But it does show what the limits of encoders are, and what
to expect.
