To all respondents,
When I posted my listing, I actually thought I was contacting a group
of "professional engineers" and not a group of cynical guys who have
nothing better to do than try "one ups-man-ship one liners" all done
in the most amateurish bad taste.
Fortunately, I did get a personal response from one such
"professional" individual, and will proceed accordingly. Sorry to have
proposed a "legitmate business project" to such a group, I didn't know
any better. Now I do!

Wow, you're an anticipated downer.
Your post was not at all "professional." You sounded like a Marketing person
talking down to an Engineering group. In that, you appeared to want to obtain
a responsible Engineer for little money and many promises. You are obviously
head of your company's rah, rah club.
My other thought is that people who wave the Professionalism Flag at the first
sign of danger is a very insecure person.
I, for one, saw enough of you in the original post that I decided their was no
way I would even think about working for you.
Have a nice day,
Don
