I was a comparison of the LM12, or was it the overture series, to a true
audio amplifier and while the it was respectable, it could not contend with
a solid audio amplifier.

In short, if you looking to build your own audio amplifier it will due if
you not looking for "high end" sound. I would put it on the order of the
$70-$100 recievers from circuit city if the rest is
well designed (front end, power supply, etc).
