I don't think you understood my suggestion. I suggest the guitar-maker
trade one of his homemade $1750 bass guitars at *his* materials cost
(my WA guess was $175) for a design (at the designer's
out-of-pocket-cost- perhaps about the same amount or a bit less
including a prototype PCB). They would thus essentially trade x hours
of guitar making for y hours of electronic design work.

Some of it *is* a bit like a gaggle of hookers heckling the
