They are only good for about 500 charge/discharge cycles. Try to wait
longer between charges so that the total number of cycles is reduced.
There is no "zap" treatment for LiIon cells like there is for NiCad.
The other possible problem might be the "protection" circuitry in those
"smart" cells. Some of them measure the charge current and discharge current
with respect to time to get the total number of mA hours currently stored in the
cell. They then report this number and disable the device when it gets too low.
If there is an error in the algorythm or in the measurement, the cells may have
a lot more or less charge than the value being reported. Some devices, like my
IBM laptop, offer a way to "reset" the charge reporting "feature".
