Where did you deduce that working twice as many hours produced just
50% more pay?

My work-week is typically 60+ hours, but (1), I work for myself, and
(2), I make what you would consider to be an *obscene* amount of
money, which (3), if I lived "over there", you'd tax it all away ;-)
