No argument. There are about 150K people in this metropolitan area and
about 600K in the entire state. Mass transportation is a complete
failure, though the greenies keep pushing that rope. Mass
transportation takes mass as well as density.

This sounds like Howie Dean's (the same) Lionel train between two of
the richest towns/cities in the state. 12 miles at almost a million a
mile, just to upgrade the facilities. Apparently Howie's dad never
bought him a train set when he was a boy, so he felt he had to build a
big one. When Howie went on to infamy his replacement shut the thing
down as a loser, leaving all these nice track upgrades to the RR
company.

Likewise, it would have been cheaper to hire limos to take people door-
to-door. Phoenix isn't alone in its madness.

We have a similar setup for the elderly. ...different program than the
"mess transportation".
