I recently had a friend who faced Norton renewal.
I advised Grisoft. He thanked me later.
Uninstalling Symantec stuff has become a pain.
As I understand it, when it installs it doesn't put the Uninstall on
the HDD
so that rogue code can't execute it and delete the AV app.
You have to put in the CD to uninstall.
Folks who download the app (and others)
are having a hell of a time getting rid of all of it.

It makes no sense to me to pay for antivirus software now.
