Let's see. IE:
No native popup blocking==extra program to download & install
Toggle Images.exe==extra program to download & install
(Don't you love the way M$ allows spaces in filenames?)
Javascript toggling==external script (I forget exactly who showed me that one)
No tabbed browsing. (I didn't think it was a big deal at first--now I'm hooked.)
Mozilla:
Built-in managers for: pop-ups, cookies, images, forms, passwords, profiles,
and downloads (That one sucks. See below).
Mozilla plug-ins that I think are cool (lots more available):
adblock.xpi No ads.
flashblock.xpi No Macromedia crap unless you click on it.
copyimage.xpi to the Clipboard
copyplaintext.xpi Copies text to the Clipboard, unformatted.
cookieculler.xpi Extends the already-great Cookie Manager.
allowrightclick.xpi Even on pages where the guy doesn't want you too.
downloadwith.xpi Mozilla's Download Manager sucks.
This coupled with GetRight cures that.
openlongurl.xpi For multi-line URLs
showimage.xpi When you have images set to NeverShow,
this makes it easy to see just one--in place.
(That was the only thing I missed about IE: RightClick+H.)
and
extuninstall.xpi Extension Uninstaller. Needs polish, but it works.
I download the XPIs to archive them to disk,
but they can be installed online. Most are tiny.
The only thing that stinks is having to shut down the browser
to get the installs to "take". (Too much like Windoze.)
I'm also wild about Mozilla Composer the quasi-WYSIWYG HTML Editor.
It does still have some quirks (bugs).
I do wish I could just grab and drag columns to resize them
like in some word processors which can (kinda) handle HTML,
but I can live without that.
