Many of the programs (and justifications thereof) of socialists are borrowed
directly from the moralist tones and teachings of religion. Sometimes the
connection is quite blatent, as repeatedly exemplified (for example) by Jesse
Jackson and Bernie Ward.
As Hayek keenly notes, socialism *is* a religion. It simply is camoflaged,
unlike the most other religions. Therein lies its danger.
