Did you really need to reply to an 11month old message in order
to promote your product?

Not only did you reply to such an old message, which you shouldn't have,
you didn't even bother quoting the message you've replied to.

So few have any clue what you are talking about. They look around
and wonder how they missed the original message.

Don't reply to old messages, even if google now allows it.

Quote some or all of the message you are replying to, because the
newsgroups are not centered on the google archive, so just because
you see the previous message on the same webpage (though don't see
the date), does not mean everyone reads it that way. The newsgroups
have been around for a quarter century, long before google existed.

And newsgroups do not exist so people can promote their products.
There are newsgroups for buying and selling, but generally ads
do not fit.

And unlike the "helpful suggestion" you've tried to make your message,
replying to an almost year old thread, when the original poster likely
is long gone, can be nothing more than a commercial post.
