What kind of viruses? I never had one come through. I guess that depends
on the reader and possibly the browser if you open suggested links. And
maybe the firewall which in our case is HW based.
What is nice about a web based forum is the chance to share files,
schematics and other stuff in an orderly and organized fashion. But it
just ain't as user friendly as usenet. And in the case of Cadsoft they
complement their newsgroups nicely with web space on their site to share
libraries and other stuff. For me that is really all I need.
