Dear Sirs, I have a problem when I test my equipment for EMC.
On the same board I have an Rs422 connection made with the DS26C31
(for the output signals)and an RS485 connection made with and
SN75ALS176 (The ICs have the same GND and Vcc).
All signals are protected with TransGuards to GND.
When I inject bursts via capacitive clamp to the RS422 and RS485
cables the DS26C31 seems go in latch-up, it becames very hot and the
VCC regulator protects himself, then I have to power off the system.
Only the DS26C31 fails.
If I use an DS26LS31 IC I haven't got any problem.

How could be possible?
Could you help me?

Thanks a lot,

Frank.
