No one knows if it practical, or even if it can be done, however it may
be our only hope! It takes people of vision to bring about this kind of
thing, but what a great thing it could be. All the energy people would
need for thousands of years! Maybe the power source we need to go to
the stars! Look at Bush's vision, it is foolish solutions to random
problems.

We do know the earth is running out of oil, don't we?
Heck I just paid $2.45 a gallon for watered down regular.

The President of the US along with Congress, thousands of prominent
scientist and engineers could muster support for this project. What
would make it happen would be lots of hard work, just the kind this
country needs to stay on the technical top. And just maybe, given this
kind of resource, we can figure out how to feed the 40,000 that starve
to death on earth everyday rather than worry about one veg's feeding
tube.

Hey, but call me silly if you want.
Engineers should be in favor of leaders that can at least try to solve
a problem, cause that is what we do. Bush tries to solve problems only
with solutions that benefit the aristocracy, that is why tort reform is
solution to medical cost (nonsence), private investment accounts for
social security (not going to help enough to bother doing), and his
landmark medicare drug bill restricts the US govt. from dickering with
drug companies!

Going back to trying to do cold fusion by mixing various kinds of soda
pop, now! I guess this is all the fusion research the good ol USA can
afford these days. Say anyone know how I can measure the energy output
of a burp?
