I tried to write as good english as possible until 7 years ago, when I
realized that I am not writing for the rather small native
angloamerican group of people. I am writing for the whole planet, and
they are speaking simple english, or will do that within a hundred
years. And right now I am writing in an international newsgroup.

The english language is going to be the international language for the
whole planet, and will change a lot in that process, so I think we
better adjust to that instead of struggling to keep it as it is, with
all the special expressions it contains today.

Remember that perfect english, if it even exists in real life, includes
many expressions, like it's raining cats and dogs, which are hard to
understand if you have not learned those expression one by one.

It is better to avoid special expressions and try to follow general
linguistic rules common to (for) many languages which the readers have
experience of (from).
