I only knew him close-up while he was still in his early twenties,
because I lived in Scottsdale and shopped 5th Avenue a lot, where his
parents had a shop.

I don't care for his music, nor eat in his restaurant, but he IS a
very visible public figure in this town... quite the charitable
philanthropist, but just Joe Ordinary Family Man when he's out of
costume.
