Texas was taken away from Mexico by force of arms.

Texas was part of Mexico. It was taken away in a war. The US is still
there.

Chile certainly wasn't done in the interests of the people who lived
there. The US aided in the overthrow of a popular government and its
replacement with a murderous one because an american fruit company was
threatened.

Now, can you suggest two places where the US sent in troops for the good
of the people living there? I suggest two because I can think of one
where it could be claimed if you stretch a point. You suggested this was
always the case, so you should have a large number of examples.

The US took land by force of arms to create the canal. It was done for US
interests not the good of the people who lived there. It is another
example that disproves your suggestion. BTW: Since we can't run the
history both ways, we will never know what the locals would have done
without the canal.

>I'm surprised you haven't brought up Vietnam.

Why would you be surprised? With so many other examples I don't feel the
need to?

BTW: Falling dominos was the reason not anything to do with the good of
the locals.
