Yes, I have tone service, my other tone phone works ok.
I haven't compared the tone amplitude of the 2 phones,
might be too low of a level. I noticed my off hook
voltage is a little low at around 5 volts, with the new
phone. Maybe the new phone presents a greater load to
the line, and drops the amplitude too far?
I tried reversing the line connections and the tones
don't work at all, so that's not the problem.
I'll do some more checking.
