You got the job anyway? I think there is a federal law or regulation that
drives companies to do this.

I perform quick economic surveys at fast-food drive-thru lines. If you can
hold an intelligent conversation over the fast-food speaker box, and they
don't screw up your order, the economy is down (good people can't find a
better job). If you have to repeat your order several times, and they still
forget the fried zucchini, the economy is up.

Within the last week, things are looking down a little.
