... And if we do, perhaps we could save 100's of billions of dollars of property loss the next time. And, given Bush and our heavy oil-burning CO2 scene, there *will* be a next time. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
With all due respect, before blaming it all on the president or industry, what are the alternatives?
We all have to ask ourselves: What cars are we driving? How many miles? How much do we fly? How much fossil fuel do we personally use to heat our homes? How much energy do we consume to cool them in summer? What have we personally done towards more CO2 neutral behavior? We need to look at ourselves first. It's the old saying: Not what the country can do for us but what can we do for our country and for our world?
