LOL, if push came to shove we'd be there waiting for you with the
runways cleared, the hostiles "pacified" and, no doubt, some nice
cold beers to refresh you after your arduous flight.

BTW, we've (Austin, Republic of Texas) taken in about 5000 of the
NOLA refugees and are setting them up in apartments which FEMA will
subsidize 50%. The apartment complex owners have agreed to
"forgive" the other 50%, and the city's in the process of getting
jobs lined up for them.

In the meantime, food, clothing, housewares, furniture, and
everything they need to start new lives is being donated by those of
here, who can.

For some, Katrina may have been the best thing that ever happened to
them. At the very least, it got them to Texas.
