Just driving across Texas can make you think you've reached the end of
the world. It's 748 miles just from El Paso to Houston :-( Driven
many times when visiting the in-laws.

Were any of the "bottom" dwellers employed by the restaurant business
in N'Orleans? Maybe they could do like Mings in Palo Alto, bus
workers in from Chinatown daily on a bus.
