I hope this is true. Sadly, US budget realities are such that they may not
get the chance.

California is due for a big, nasty earthquake. I live about a mile from
the Hayward fault, which is the one that'll take out Oakland and the rest
of the east bay if it goes. I really hope everybody is up to the task.
