   The local broadcast and print media is populated by nothing but
talking heads and morons. Since the data came from a "Ph.D." and I
didn't have the same degree, I couldn't possibly know anything.

   The local paper was owned by the New York Times and they didn't have
anyone on staff with a science background, so they wouldn't listen.

That's sad. But sometimes it helps to get right through to the chief editors, telling them that what they are printing is bogus and offering help. With the notion that you might take it to other media if they wouldn't be interested. After all, none of them wants to sit there at the end of the week with egg in the face.
