There is no shortage of engineers, just a shortage of engineers
willing to work for slave wages. It's the same lie the suits
tell repeatedly through history whenever they want schools to
turn out a glut of some particular skilled worker so that they
can drive wages down. Industy giants will pay millions to a
CEO who is nearly useless, but begrudge a living wage to the
engineers who can actually make things work, all the while
whining that they can't get good workers. It's BS.
