Here's my suggestion: a 3 phase variable transformer (synchro based?) that allows you to mix the red, yellow and blue phases of the 3 phase supply to get the desired sound colour. Probably only works in UK though.

The EU has banned them; we have to use brown, black and grey now, with blue for neutral.
